Managing Partner (Edmonton) of Bourgeois Brooke Chin Associates, Simon has over a decade of real estate valuation and advisory experience. A member of the Appraisal Institute of Canada (AIC) since 2004, Simon obtained his AACI designation in 2012 and has worked both in the private and public sectors, gaining valuable insights and expertise in various real estate matters across Alberta, Northwest Territories and Nunavut as well as exposure to the international market.
Simon is passionate in learning about the various aspects of real estate with special interests in sustainability, valuation, finance and investment. Simon’s acute attention to details as well as his ability to research, understand and provide solutions on complex issues allows him to serve as a trusted advisor to his clients.
Simon currently serves as the Past-President of AIC-Alberta and is also a member of the National AIC Professional Practice committee as well as the Investigating sub-committee. He is also a member of ULI and serves on the Research & Education committee. Simon holds a Bachelor of Commerce and an MBA from the University of Alberta as well as a Diploma of Urban Economics from the University of British Columbia. He was the recipient of the 2018 AIC Top Appraiser Under 40 award.
